Mark Edmunds FCPA

Director

As the leader of this dynamic firm Mark specialises in superannuation, financial planning, professional services, company structures, business management and tax planning. After five years working as an accountant for Coopers & Lybrand (PricewaterhouseCoopers) in both Canberra and Darwin, Mark then moved to Nelson Bay to commence working in his own practice. He has practised in Nelson Bay since 1977.

Mark is very involved in the local community with interests in all aquatic sports, golf, and rugby.

Jason Pepper CA

Senior Client Advisor

Jason Pepper is a Chartered Accountant with over 11 years experience in Sydney, Newcastle and for the last 4 years in Nelson Bay. Working mainly in smaller sized practices with varied client bases has resulted in a greater exposure to numerous accounting, taxation and business issues that affect all types of entities. Jason specialises in:

• Taxation services for businesses including Capital Gains Tax, GST, Fringe Benefits Tax, Income Tax and tax planning strategies to minimise Income Tax
• Superannuation
• Individual income tax

A graduate of the University of Newcastle as well as a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia since 1998, Jason has lived in the Nelson Bay area for the majority of his life.

Damien Cooper CPA

Senior Client Advisor

Damien has 14 years experience in accounting, tax and management consulting with a background in management accounting within the hospitality industry.

He specialises in tax advice, tax planning, business acquisitions and restructures for small to medium enterprises. Other specialties include company, trust, superannuation and individual taxation, Capital Gains Tax and GST and strategic planning incorporating the minimisation of income tax.

He has lived in Port Stephens most of his life and his work experience includes work in public practice in Newcastle and investment banking in London and Sydney.

Paul Blanchfield B.Comm ASA

Senior Client Advisor

Moving to Port Stephens eight years ago with a background in engineering and IT, Paul has since graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in financial accounting and continues to study towards Certified Practicing Accountant status. Paul has been with the firm for six years and has particular interest in superannuation and tax planning.
